Mediation in child support cases
Abstract
The overall objective of the research was to analyze mediation in child and adolescent food cases. The study used a qualitative approach. It relied on documentary data collection techniques, managing the collection and analysis of a documentary-bibliographic typology, through which laws, official gazettes, and scientific articles were reviewed. In addition, formal and informal interviews were conducted with judges from the Multicompetent Judicial Unit of the Canton of La Concordia. It was concluded that there is a lack of awareness among users about the services offered by the mediation offices in the Multicompetent Judicial Unit of the Canton of La Concordia, resulting in a low percentage of cases filed.
