Universal Design for Learning: Theoretical and practical reference for inclusive education
Abstract
Today, the educator has the great challenge of attending to each student in an integral and inclusive manner, since there is a heterogeneity of learning styles and rhythms, as each student learns differently. In this context, this article is developed to describe the characteristic elements of the Universal Design for Learning (UDL), which determine it as a theoretical reference for inclusive education. Methodologically, the study corresponds to a documentary research developed through a descriptive documentary design. In conclusion, it is stated that the ULD is a theoretical approach that is breaking paradigms in relation to inclusive education and based on neuroscience, since it goes beyond disability or special education, and seeks to make learning truly meaningful for everyone.
