Storytelling as a didactic strategy for early childhood education children
Abstract
What children experience in their first years at school will have a permanent influence throughout their school life, and especially in their learning process. Therefore, the strategies implemented for this purpose should promote highly significant learning. In view of the above, the following article is presented with the purpose of describing the story and the advantages of its use as a didactic strategy for children in early childhood education. For this purpose, a methodology that allowed the development of the research at a descriptive, documentary-bibliographic level was followed. As a conclusion, it is established that the story is a strategy of high didactic value for early education, since besides entertaining and motivating infants, it provides them with resources as readers, giving them the possibility of building their knowledge.
