Environmental problems, illegal mining and contamination in eastern Ecuador
Abstract
The general objective of this research was to describe environmental problems, illegal mining and pollution in eastern Ecuador. The development of the research was carried out from a quantitative perspective, and was complemented with a documentary-bibliographic design. This allowed the collection of information extracted from different refereed articles, graduate work, among others. In addition, a descriptive research was carried out. It was concluded that it is worrying that due to illegal mining and other environmental problems, the environment is being violated in eastern Ecuador and in other areas of the country, in spite of having legal conditions and regulations that contribute to the preservation and conservation of nature. It is necessary that public policies on environmental issues should be reviewed and adapted to the new times contributing to good living.
